To accept the New Testament is to accept the Authority of the Catholic Church.

To accept the canon of the New Testament as the set of 27 texts inspired by God in the Christian era, is already an act of accepting the authority of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church which, inspired by God, studied, analyzed, discussed, and after discerning, finally selected them in their councils.
